We are based in West Yorkshire, west of Leeds and near Keighley, on the edge of the renowned Yorkshire Dales. The village of Steeton dates from the Saxon period around the time of Alfred the Great (871-899). The name Steeton is thought to derive from the township's first Saxon possessor, Stephen, hence 'Stiverton' or 'Styveton' - literally Stephen's town. Steeton is conveniently located near Skipton (7 miles), Bradford (12 miles) and Leeds (18 miles) where you can find an excellent variety of restaurants, bars and shopping facilities as well as top visitor attractions.
